Exciting news BoJack fans! Netflix has renewed BoJack Horseman for season 5.

‘BoJack Horseman’ Renewed for Season 5 at Netflix

VARIETY – “BoJack Horseman” has been renewed for Season 5, Netflix announced Thursday.

The announcement came in the form of a video posted to the show’s social media channels, which show a “clingy netflix exec” texting BoJack to share the news of the renewal. Watch the video below.

The animated series stars Will Arnett as BoJack, the failed legendary ‘90s sitcom star from the favorite family sitcom “Horsin’ Around,” who has been trying to find his way through a muddle of self-loathing, whisky and failed relationships.

Now, in the presence of his human sidekick Todd (Aaron Paul) and his feline agent and ex-paramour Princess Carolyn (Amy Sedaris), BoJack is primed for his comeback. The series also features the voices of Paul F. Tompkins and Alison Brie.

Season 4 launched globally on Netflix on Sept. 8 and received widespread critical acclaim. The season currently has a 96% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The season saw BoJack coming to grips with his identity after disappearing at the end of Season 3, while his friend Mr. Peanutbutter (Tompkins) makes a bid for governor. Todd, meanwhile, explores his life without BoJack, and comes to terms with the fact that he is asexual.

The series was created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg, who also executive produces. Steven A. Cohen, Noel Bright, Arnett, and Paul also serve as executive producers. BoJack was designed by graphic artist Lisa Hanawalt and animated by LA-based ShadowMachine. The show is a Tornante Production, brought to life by Michael Eisner’s The Tornante Company.

Best Christmas Movies on Netflix 2016: BoJack Horseman: Christmas Special

BoJack Horseman: Christmas Special starring Will Arnett and Alison Brie ranks in the Best Christmas Movies on Netflix 2016!

BoJack Horseman: Christmas Special ranks among the Best Christmas Movies on Netflix 2016! If you are a fan of BoJack Horseman and have not seen the Christmas special, you have to check it out this holiday season. It’s also an especially good re-watch, as well!

Technically speaking, the Christmas special is not an actual movie, but it functions outside the seasons of the show, and it’s categorized among the other Christmas movies on Netflix, so we are counting it in our ranking!

For those who don’t know, BoJack Horseman is a Netflix original animated series that premiered on Netflix in 2014. Following the first season, Netflix and the BoJack team surprised viewers with a Christmas special, which is titled “Sabrina’s Christmas Wish,” on December 19, 2014.

The episode was written by Raphael Bob-Waksburg and was directed by Joel Moser. The episode starred the usual cast of BoJack Horseman including Will Arnett, Amy Sedaris, Alison Brie, Paul F. Tompkins, and Aaron Paul.

Last year, BoJack fans were hopeful that Netflix would release another surprise episode, but unfortunately, there was no Christmas special in 2015. Here’s to hoping for one in 2016, though!

While it helps, you don’t even need to be a fan of BoJack Horseman or have seen any of the series to watch the Christmas special. It’s also the perfect way to see if you like the series! And, there are three more seasons of the series available to stream on Netflix. So, if you like the Christmas special, you’ve found a new show to watch on Netflix! That’s what we call a win-win!

After you watch BoJack Horseman: Christmas Special on Netflix, check out the rest of the Best Christmas Movies on Netflix 2016 for more great movies to watch this holiday season!
